Here are the types of hormones:
• Estrogen – The primary sex hormone for women. This speeds up metabolism, reduces muscle mass, increases fat stores, helps in forming secondary sex characteristics, promotes the uterus’ increased growth and formation, and increases sex drive.
• Testosterone – It may be the main male sex hormone but it’s still present in women. It contributes to a woman’s libido and is responsible for the changes that women experience during puberty such as changes to the vocal range, acne, and growth cycle completion.
