Warning! This book is not suitable for youngsters or those of a delicate disposition. Some of the language used would (to borrow a phrase from P.G. Woodhouse) barely have been tolerated in the fo’c’sle of a whaler. It contains several poems of questionable taste and some of the contents could be taken to be condoning, or even glorifying, drunken behaviour. That said, the general consensus from those that have seen the preview is that it is pretty funny. A lot of the poems are to do with sailing and the sea but there are poems on canoeing, narrow boats, kayaks, coracles and even the titanic so hopefully most nautical tastes will be catered for.
